Every Golly Gosh card begins the same way, with real blooms, foliage, and a handcrafted composition, long before it ever reaches a shelf.
Built by hand, from the ground up
Golly Gosh Creations Wholesale was founded in 2007 by Mark and Suzy, who set out to give businesses something different: greeting cards with real texture and real craftsmanship behind every design. What started as a small B2B venture has grown into a trusted range for florists, garden centres, design stores, interior stores, bookshops, and online retailers across New Zealand and Australia.
Mark's background is in photography, with over 25 years spent shooting commercial and advertising campaigns. It was in the quieter moments between jobs that he began building intricate compositions from natural materials, an experiment that would go on to shape the entire Golly Gosh range.
A process built to last
Each design in our range begins as a physical, handcrafted composition: flowers, foliage, produce, vegetables, and herbs, arranged by hand into unique sculptures and captured in Mark's studio. Nothing is digitally illustrated or rendered. Every image you stock is a photograph of something real.
Mark's mother, Sophie, shared that same love of hands-on creativity, and many of the range's most distinctive sculptural pieces came from their work together. Her creativity is woven into the collection, and it remains part of what makes these designs feel so different from anything mass-produced.
A distinctive format
One detail stockists often notice once they've unpacked their first order: our cards aren't a standard size. Every Golly Gosh card is a 142mm x 142mm square, which gives each design room to breathe and sets it apart visually from the standard rectangular cards filling most shelves. It's a small detail that makes a big difference in how the range catches a customer's eye.
A playful side to the range
Alongside the botanical designs sits a smaller, less formal collection that doesn't sit neatly in any one category. Some of these cards are built entirely from sweets, lollies, and fruit, arranged and photographed with the same handcrafted approach as the rest of the range, just with a much sweeter subject.
Others have an even more personal beginning. Mark and Suzy's son drew and painted freely as a toddler, scribbles and colour spilling across page after page, and one day Suzy sat down with the pile and saw a card range looking back at her. She cut the pieces by hand and turned his drawings and brushwork into simple, generic shapes that could suit almost any occasion. It's a small, joyful corner of the range, part of the Golly Gosh family since his very first mark on paper, and one that tends to catch stockists by surprise the first time they spot it.
Quality that hasn't changed
Every card is printed on firm, crisp card stock, paired with a premium white envelope and protected in a clear seal bag, the same standard we've held since day one.
